"There is no doubt that Garibaldi's romantic career in a lifelong fight for freedom was born of a liking for the fray, to express it bluntly, with freedom as a convenient excuse. This sounds unkind, but it is not. Garibaldi loved peace so much that he was willing to fight for it any day."

Things that make me frown.

Intelligent men with questionable integrity.
Drivers who fail to understand the concept of the zipper-move, aka: merging.
When cashiers hand back your change with the coins resting on top of the bills.
The wind.
A delicious lox and cream cheese bagel that is ruined by capers
Grammar Prescriptivists.
Skimpy tippers.
Academic, exclusionary language (just because I can understand it does not mean I am not judging your privileged ass for using it)
"Banana flavored topping" at IHOP.
Coffee.
"I'm not racist, but..."
When progressives use the term "The N Word".
Being hung up on.
Tepid beer.
Mean kids on the playground.
The New York Yankees.
Having the feeling that the other person is not being 100% upfront with you.
The 2 seconds after I realize that I put my foot in my mouth.
The "Who's More Liberal Than Thou?" Game.                                     (I win, contest over!)
Any sports-related Trivial Pursuit question.
Children who refuse to eat 98% of food products, and the parents who enable them.
Children who refuse to go on an amusement park ride because it's "too scary". (Boo hoo! Shut up, kid, and have fun! What's wrong with you?!?)
Ayn Rand.
Power trips.
Kids who wear Che shirts.
