"There is no doubt that Garibaldi's romantic career in a lifelong fight for freedom was born of a liking for the fray, to express it bluntly, with freedom as a convenient excuse. This sounds unkind, but it is not. Garibaldi loved peace so much that he was willing to fight for it any day."

Dad and Tony made it.

Tony's in a little bit of pain and discomfort in a room down the hall, but Dad was up talking, gossiping, flirting with the nurses, and making phone calls (with my cell phone, too--total rule breaker) within 2 hours of receiving his kidney transplant. The nurses were a little bit in shock, to say the least. We were told by his doctor that it would be at least 5 hours before he would be conscious enough to respond to us. This is how my dad does it, though, post surgery. "I'm feeling great," he says. "I'm feelin' pretty good."

He's trying to convince me to move in with him. Haha!!

I'mma go watch Stardust with him now. :)
