Alarm!

I get to the school happy to see that the field's gate was open, which to me says "welcome, weekend runners!" I walked through the gate and over to the track. I warmed up, did some stretches, got my ipod ready, and started my runnin'.
As I start running my fourth lap to "Teenage Wasteland", I notice two men in the distance coming through the field's gate. I get nervous. I'm by myself on the field. So I decide to sprint that lap so I can get over to my stuff I laid down by the bleachers. As I turn the corner and start to face the two men who are walking towards me, they start to wave their arms and I notice that they have uniforms on.
I keep running until I get within a few feet of them and see that they're security guards. I take my headphones off and they ask me for my student I.D. I tell them I dont have one becase I'm not a student, and then they tell me that I can't be there if I'm not a student. I apologise and tell them I thought it would be okay since the gate was open, but they tell me that the gate was open for them. They tell me that my running on the track set off an alarm that caused them, as well as the police car down the road they point to AND THE HELICOPTER ABOVE US to come check me out. They point to the sky and I see the Vallejo Police helicopter circie above and then fly off. I guess Teenage Wasteland was just TOO LOUD FOR ME TO NOTICE THE HELICOPTER COMING AFTER ME.
FUCKING SHIT.
So I grab my stuff and thank them for not shooting me or wrastling me to the ground. They were actually really nice guys and asked me how much longer I'd be running, that if I wanted to I could finish my laps. I laugh and thank them, but assure them it's alright and I'll leave.
So...that's one fancy fucking high school alarm system. The idea of such a thing at my high school, Mission Bay High in San Diego, made me laugh out loud at the thought. Then again, my school didn't produce the famous, money-making athletes that Vallejo does. Evidently Nike donates hella bills to the school.
So...back to 24 Hour Fitness I go.
